This is our review of the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset.
There’s no better feeling in the world than camping out and eating a delicious camp-cooked meal.
When we first started camping, we’d bring our pots and pans from home, but we quickly realized that this wasn’t going to cut it long-term.
We wanted a ready-to-go kit that could feed our entire family, plus some. Not only that, but the ability to cook over an open fire would be a nice upgrade.
Made with high-quality 18/8 stainless steel, the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset met all of our requirements and more. We love it.

Stanely offers a variety of options in their Adventure Series.
While we like this set the best overall for cooking, some of their other sets contain better dinnerwear options such as bowls and plates:

How we tested, reviewed and rated the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset
We rated the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset across six key categories:
- Quality & Durability
- Ease of Use
- User Ratings
After thoroughly testing the product, all of the above metrics are factored into our algorithm to create an Overall Score.
The Stanley Adventure Even-Heat cookset had great ratings across all of the categories and came in with a near-perfect 9.3 overall score.
Performance-wise, the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat series can’t be beat.
These are regular pots ya’ll. They are NOT just camping pots, these are high-quality pots. Period.
Now, there is one downside, and it is the cutting board. The quality is OK, but it’s just not that useful.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 9 out of 10 rating on Performance.
Quality & Durability
Stanley doesn’t mess around.
Their 18/8 stainless steel is high quality to begin with, and the even-heat series uses a special 3-ply process to provide even cooking heat across the cooking surface.
The pots and pans are a high-quality product that will last for years and maybe decades!
The only downside, here again, is the cutting board and the spoon and spatula. I can see these items breaking down and needing replacements at some point.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 9 out of 10 rating on Quality & Durability.
Coming fully loaded with an 11-piece set, we are really impressed.
Now, the spoon, spatula, and cutting board may not be the best overall, but the value is still tremendous.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 9 out of 10 rating on Value.
Ease of Use
This is a very easy product to pack down since all of the 11 pieces can nest together with ease.
Super user-friendly and once you get the hang of it at home once, it’ll be easy to pack down when you’re done camping.
But even if you do for some reason forget, Stanley provides a little graphical guide on the top lid to remind you of the easiest and best way to collapse the units back down again.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 10 out of 10 rating on Ease of Use.
Again, since the unit packs down to 11.6 x 6.7 x 10.3 in, it is taking up minimal space.
We keep ours in our camp kitchen bin in the closet with our other kitchen gear.
Storage is no problem, and weighing only 8.2 lbs its a pretty lightweight product considering you’re bringing practically an entire kitchen.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 9 out of 10 rating on Portability.
Last, but not least are user reviews!
We can get a lot of great feedback from user reviews, but they aren’t perfect.
However, in the case of the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset, people love it. They rave about it. It’s got great ratings all around.
We read through all of the reviews, just to be sure, and even the bad reviews can have something good to say. After taking that all into account, we were able to finish off our rating.
We gave the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset a 9.7 out of 10 rating on Portability.
Does the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Cookset come in other sizes?
Stanley offers their Adventure Series Cookset in a few other sizes. They have a All-in-One 2 Bowl Cookset, as well as an Adventure Full Kitchen Base Camp Cookset that includes plates and bowls.
Finally, they have an Adventure All-in-One Fry Pan Set. But the Even-heat Cookset for 4 wins the day as the best overall cookset.
Can you use Stanley pots and pans on a campfire?
Yes, you can. Stanley stainless steel pots and pans are fire-safe up to 1,697° F. However, this doesn’t mean you should place it directly on the fire.
You’ll want to use a proper cooking surface that relies on indirect heat and a more controlled cooking environment.
Can You Put Stainless Steel On Open Fire?
Yes, you can, but you shouldn’t place stainless steel directly on the fire itself.
We love the Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset.
I can’t imagine camping without it!
Between its campfire-safe stainless steel, and its ultimate packability and versatility this set will be with us for decades to come.
